Where: Our address is 108 Seaview Ave, Santa Cruz, Ca. We are in the Seabright neighborhood, one block in from the pathway on East Cliff that goes down to the train trestle that crosses the river to the Boardwalk.
WE ARE NOT OPEN WHEN IT RAINS. Not everything in our display is rain proof, so every night I have to set up and at the end of the night put it away.
When: Saturday November 30 – New Years Day
Tuesday Dec. 10: We we’re open and got rained on.
WEDNESDAY DEC. 11: We will be closed tonight. It’s 4:30 and it’s raining. We’ve had a lite mist all afternoon and I was hoping to open. I was open last night and it rained and with help it took me 40 mins to get everything put away – I was soaked.
Thursday Dec. 12: Looks like no rain.
Friday Dec. 13: Possible rain.
Because we are located in a very tight neighborhood with houses and bedrooms up against the sidewalks, we close early. The nights just before Christmas we will stay open until 9’ish. Weeknights until 8pm-ish, and weekends (Friday – Saturday) until 9pm.
If it’s raining, I’m not open for viewing and I do not turn on the lights. It’s unfortunate, but we learned that we have to have security in the yard at all times, and when it rains, I got tired of getting soaked – it’s cold and it’s winter. A very light sprinkle – maybe.
